Mission Statement Usher Oil Company is committed to the needs of its customers and the environment with distinctive service, competitive prices, and the recycling of liquid industrial waste and used oil in a compliant manner, while achieving profitable growth.
Usher Oil Company is a centralized waste treatment and used oil recycling operation that has been serving industries by safely recycling since 1930.
The Company was born out of a business venture created as a means of survival during the Great Depression. Charles Usher began with a small tank truck, collecting used oil from service stations and garages, and selling it to a nephew’s newly created used oil "re-refinery". A few years later, Charles’ son Morris obtained a truck and became a partner.
As the country recovered and moved towards prosperity, Usher Oil Company grew also, expanding its operation to include tank farm storage and road oiling services. The increased demand for recycled oil during World War II brought continued success, and led to the purchase of the Roselawn property where the Company remains established to this date.
The Company continued to expand services and establish a network of drivers and tank trucks, transitioning the Company from a simple used oil collection service to a major recycling operation. Charles, Morris, and Charles’ son David managed the family business through many years of economic change.
In 1984, the Company was purchased by Michael Usher, son of Morris. Michael continues the family legacy, growing the business and adapting Usher Oil Company to the changing needs of industry and the environment.
Vision Statement Usher Oil Company seeks to achieve profitable growth in becoming the premier recycler of liquid industrial waste and used oil, operating in an environmentally sound manner, and providing customers with unequaled service at a fair price.
